Because Harris is an empathetic human being who genuinely *cares* about how to make ordinary people's lives better—not just millionaires and billionaires
A lot of political endorsements I’ve been reading spend a lot of time detailing how bad a second Donald Trump term would be—and that's worth spelling out, again and again! But I’d like to write out a list of reasons that I will be voting FOR Vice President Kamala Harris, with pride and without reservation.
I'm voting for Kamala because I believe it’s long past time that the United States joins the majority of democracies on earth who have elected a WOMAN to lead them.
I'm voting for Kamala because she is committed to protecting a woman’s right to make her OWN choices about her OWN body.
I’m voting for Kamala because the next president will likely be picking two to three Supreme Court justices that will set the law of the land for the majority of the remainder of my time on Earth—and I’d rather those justices be people who believe in democratic values, equality, preventing unchecked executive power, and not letting corporations claw even more power out of the hands of working people.
I'm voting for Kamala because of the clear, common-sense economic policies she has laid out to help the middle class.
I'm voting for Kamala because I believe she is an empathetic human being who genuinely thinks and *cares* about how to make ordinary people’s lives better—not just millionaires and billionaires.
I'm voting for Kamala because she, unlike most politicians, seems like a real human being who is unashamed to project humility, joy, and a willingness to learn and grow from her mistakes.
I'm voting for Kamala because you play the rules of the game you’re in, not the one you wish you were playing. For better or for worse (and let’s be honest, for worse), we are not breaking out of a two-party political system anytime soon. We live in an enormous country with an extensive spectrum of beliefs and positions. Kamala’s views don't line up 1:1 with mine, and probably not with yours either. But I’d much rather vote for somebody with a realistic chance of winning who represents 75 to 80 percent of what I believe in than 0 percent.
Please join me in voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
