Because we are in a uniquely precarious place when it comes to the climate
I am voting for Kamala Harris for numerous reasons. I believe we are in a uniquely precarious place when it comes to the climate and we need someone who takes the challenge of climate change seriously and will enact legislation to promote clean energy, instead of sticking to old ways of generating energy. When I think of the people who have recently been harmed by, say, the recent storms in North Carolina and Florida, I think about who will help them most. Right now, we have people activated by false angers threatening FEMA works, the very people who are on the ground who are helping the suffering, and that’s clearly a result of the negative rhetoric of MAGA Republicans. The only way we are going to get through the challenges of the future is by uniting across differences of opinion, helping each other, and speaking and thinking lovingly and kindly about all people.
